Camp Sew Fun 2025 – St. George

Camp Sew Fun for kids launches in June!
Teachers Gloria Rasmussen & Kaye Sivori are excited to lead three sessions that will teach kids useful sewing and quilting skills. And, students will leave with fun projects they made themselves!
Camp fees includes kits with everything kids need to make all projects. Don’t forget to pack a lunch!
Beginner Camp – June 17, 18, & 19
10:30 AM to 2:00 PM
Ages 8 & up

No experience is needed for Camp Sew Fun – Beginner. Students will learn the basic functions of the sewing machine, including how to thread the machine and bobbin, and they’ll practice sewing straight lines.
Over the course of three days, we’ll make scrunchies, a notebook cover, and the Hemingway Bag (seen above) to hold everything.
Intermediate Camp – july 8, 9, & 10
10:30 AM to 2:00 PM
Ages 8 & up

Camp Sew Fun – Intermediate includes three projects that kids will love for the summer.
The first project is the Oh, Sew Cute Beach Towel (above). It’s fun, easy, and accented with adorable pom poms. The second project is a water bottle holder—perfect for keeping hydration top of mind this summer—and the third project is a sweet bow hair accessory.
Advanced Camp – july 28, 29, & 30
10:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Ages 10-16

Camp Sew Fun – Advanced is for kids 10-16 years old and features 2-3 projects, depending on time.
First students will make the Sling Bag (above), which is a cross between a backpack and a bag. It’s a fantastic summer bag with an outer bag and a sophisticated handle design.
After the Sling Bag, students will sew a mini wallet, and if we have time, a matching headband from the scraps!
